I have had four of the infection cysts whatever you want to call them. I finally lost my patients and went to the doctor they confirmed it was pilonidal. My doctor sent me to a surgeon who told me I needed the surgery but was only willing to do the open surgery. When I told him I didnt want to have a whole in my back all summer he acted like I was crazy. I have read up on all of the surgeries the one that sounds the best for me is the cleft lift. I live in a kind of small city and dont know where to look to find a surgeon who will do this surgery. The doctor i met with today was cruel to me. Im afraid to call but I wanted to know if there was any tips or anything someone could give me on finding a surgeon near green bay wi that would do the cleft lift surgery.

hey chella i live in green bay! i actually trekked it out to eau claire for dr. immerman. HIGHLY RECCOMEND him! 19 years performing cleft lifts. also... i somehow never had to pay a copay there for any of my visits. i went to christopher smith first in milwaukee and he did not seem confident enough in giving me a cleft lift. thats when i decided to check out dr immerman. its a 3 hour drive, but he is THE best/ most experienced in the area. i just got mine done 2 weeks ago today and am feeling 100%.
Thank you i will def have to call him. The surgeon I went to yesterday made me feel horrible about the sugery. I am a college student and he wouldnt even talk about other options. Not to mention his room was dirty there was bloody bandages laying under my mothers chair. He has me nervous about going to go see another surgeon. This site has been very helpful reading about all the different stories knowing i am not the only one. Thank you I will be calling him and my insurance company early Monday morning.
