Hey everybody - what a great site this is! I wish I'd known of this site when I was dealing with my cyst 11+ years ago. I did have a quick question. I have had exactly ZERO issues since my closed-wound surgery back in 2001. I'm told my cyst was one of the worst the doctor had seen, and the scar is pretty long. Yesterday, I was sitting down, leaning forward, and felt a slight stinging sensation way down deep at the bottom of the scar. I probably wouldn't even have thought twice about it if it weren't for my prior experience, but I tend to be a little more...aware of what's going on in that region of my body. Anyway, I went into the bathroom to check and couldn't see much of anything, but when I gently dabbed a tissue on the spot, I noticed a tiny point of red - I mean, a pinhead-sized spot. I still get that tiny "stinging" sensation this morning, so of course now I'm freaked out. I don't recall if this sort of thing happened 11+ years ago, but it seems like this could be a stretched follicle forming into a pit (if my terminology is correct). So ALL THAT SAID - I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience or noticed something similar? And if so, what happened? Did it prove to be nothing, or did it develop into something worse? Also, for clarity's sake: it's not at all clear to me whether the spot is in fact on/next to the scar, or below it. It's just hard to see, and it's close either way. My plan is to keep it clean and keep an eye on it, and keep my fingers crossed, since there's probably not much else I can do at this point. Yikes....thanks for reading.
