Some people will certainly class the cleft lift as a "miracle cure" as they have had great results - the surgery defiantly has much better results then other kinds of surgery, but individual results obviously depend on many factors so they will vary from person to person. But i would rather have the cleft lift then any other kind of surgery.

How long you are in hospital will again depend on many things - best to talk to your surgeon. When i had mine it was essentially a day surgery so i left later that day - though some people have stayed overnight.

Recovery again varies - Generally you are able to walk around (albeit slowly) the next day and after a few days this gets easier and you will be able to sit. Its generally around 2-4 weeks before you start feeling back to normal... although it can take a few months before you may feel confident doing everything you could do before surgery (exercise etc.)

There is a risk of complications, and a common one seems to be some stitches not completely dissolving - this can cause part of the wound to open up and bleed. This happened to myself which took around 4 weeks to heal up.

Taking a multi vitamin and/or vitamin C supplements is probable a good idea during the healing process to help speed things along and support your immune system.

The surgery will not leave you looking deformed.
