BeeJay’s story

December 23, 2013

im 19 years old and have been suffering with PS for 2 years now, ive had overall 7 PS and only 2 operations, my first operation was the excursion followed by 6 weeks of packing, which wasnt pleasent, after this i then had 4 more flare ups which means 4 more courses of antibiotics, the GP then referred me to a surgeon where i has my 2nd procedure the bascoms cleft lift which i had 3 weeks ago, i had a drain which was taken out in the first week, in the 2nd week in the middle of the wound it started to open, and then became infected which meant another course of antibiotics, i went to the GP last week and the antibiotics worked so now im waiting for my 1.5 cm opening to hopefully closed as it all looks “good” yesterday i woke up with a hard and tight feeling near the wound and assumed it was scar tissue as its the same on the other side but, only one side hurts and it feels quite warm, im so worried that this could be another PS and am devastated, i have an appointment at the GP tommorow so i cant be sure till then, has this happened to anyone else? and when will this all be over.
