Can a Pilonidal Sinus cause constipation?

Hello! I've recently been diagnosed with a pilonidal sinus. I was wondering since along with the Pilonidal Sinus around when it started I got some severe constipation, after that I took some laxatives and I can still poop now, but I think it really really difficult to have a bowel movement. I can do one but after that the rest get's stuck. I am worried about it and want to know if it could be caused by a pilonidal sinus, or if I could have a cyst/abscess.

Thanks!

[/QUOTE I have had 3 failed ops and do get constipation some times but don’t think it to do with Pilonidal sinus have you got a leaking sinus or a abscess if it’s a abscess get it drained and take antibiotics if surgery is needed only get the cleft lift done no other operation will help it will just make it worse don’t listen to these surgeons who say you will heal in 3 to 4 weeks with the procedure they mention and never get open excision you will regret it ask your go to get refered to cleft lift special there’s one in London she’s called Asa senepati she’s the best she works in st Marks I’m still wating to get refered to see her and I’m 4 hour away
