Healing Help

Hello fellow pilonidal people
I am reaching out to ask for advice and and maybe some answers if others have gone through similar things that I have.
So I have had removal of the cyst 5 times between 2012 and now. My most recent one was in August of 2018. I have been operated by 3 different doctors and nothing has seemed to work completely.
My First three were by the same doctor between 2012 and 2013. Centerfold extraction
My fourth one was done by a different doctor in 2014 and it was a different type of surgery that left a huge "Z" shaped scar (i'm not good with the surgery terms)
My last one was just in August by a plastic surgeon. He did everything he could to make sure that he removed all of the branches of the cyst by inserting a blue dye before extraction. And so far, the surgery has worked on the part of getting rid of cyst. But healing has been a struggle. I stitches for a little over 2 weeks, but with limitations that I could only stand of lay down. No sitting or putting stress on incision area. But after a week or so, the incision open up, and has been open ever since.
Now I am seeing a different doctor, only because I moved states, and he told me about this site to reach out and see what other people think to get multiple opinions.
At this point. I am just very annoyed that I have an open wound and cannot find a way of making it heal efficiently.

If anyone has any input, I would greatly appreciate it. Ask any questions

Nennakenna, I am so sorry you have been going through this for so long! My son had a terrible experience as well with a failed surgery in 11/2016 and we decided to get the cleft lift surgery done by Dr. Jeffrey Sternberg in San Francisco, CA. He has been completely healed since he did the surgery in 2/2017. I know there are other doctors available that do this surgery and I believe there is a list on this site. Hopefully others will speak up to give their experience as well. We are just glad to put this behind us and I hope you are able to finally heal soon.
