I’ll cut it very brief and short.
April 2019 I had a cyst the size of a golf ball in my butt! I went into hospital to have it removed and they left the wound open. This took 10 months to heal!!!!! I pushed after advise from Miss Senapati to have a cleft closure in February 2020. She operated and closed it (leaving me with a massive scar)
its now July 2020 and I don’t even know it’s there! Sometimes it I can feel it sat in the bath but it’s a very numb feeling. my only advise is don’t leave the wound open to try and heal itself. You have more chances of it coming back ☺☺☺

Don't go for open excision it's the worst operation ever for this wound you will suffer long term and it keep reopening up and go back to square one.

Try fight for a cleft lift Asha Senapati is now based at St Mark's hospital harrow London she moved there in 2018, I had open excision on the NHS in 2016 and it never ever healed I had excised surgery Feb last year only healed August to February this year and reopened

I've booked in to see Senapati soon for cleft lift

The intinal appointment to see her and discuss it is private but I gotta see if my insurance company pays for the cleft lift if they refuse than It will be nhs my only issue is my wound keep reopening which is frustrating hoping my pico closes it fully and never reopens again so I won't need the cleft lift.
