It's just a small opening/tear at the bottom of the CL? Mine took about 2-3 weeks to fully heal up. For me it happened after sitting down to use the restroom. Just keep the area clean (use wet wipes after you go #2 or shower) and roll up some gauze and place it between your cheeks to give the area some air.

Yeah small opening right at the bottom. I'm being super meticulous with cleaning, especially after number 2. Baby wipes and showering and getting partner to check scar area when she's about. It's looking dry with granulation atm. Seeing nurse daily too. I wish I could just put pooping on hold until I'm healed

Any tips on keeping the gauze in place?
