I'm looking for a Doctor knowledgeable of Pilonidal near Gainesville FL or Jacksonville FL areas. I was diagnosed with pilonidal sinus a couple years ago by my GP. I've only had minor issues so far. About once a year I will get a spot or pit that swells up and opens up the size of a BB and drain. It drains then heals in a week and it's all good. Never any infection or major pain. Just annoying mostly. So far I've only seen my GP doctor about it cause it's never been open for more then a week and never got infected. But I'm now ready to see a specialist I think. Im tired of dealing with this every September. I'm having trouble finding a doctor in my area that has any idea what it is. I'm looking for someone and that maybe do pit picking of something Minimum for now as I only have small flare ups once a year. Has anyone had any success with doctors around Gainesville or Jacksonville FL?
