It all started when I start itching really bad between my buttocks.
Then I saw I have an open scar between my buttocks. I thought it was really weird but didn’t think much of it. Eventually the scar healed but I started to feel pain right above my butt. I thought it was probably because I was sitting weird or something, no big deal. But the pain got worse and it got swollen and red. I started having high fever.
After few days the fever was still there and the pain got worse. Until I couldn’t move my lower body without crying. I had to be carried if I wanted to go to the bathroom. I wasn’t sleeping for days. One night I was so tired I got knocked out and my sister was beside me. She said I started to shake really bad and my eyes were wide open but I have no memory of this. That’s when my sister called an ambulance.
Eventually I woke up because of the pain and the ambulance arrived after. They took me to the hospital. 2 doctors came and see me and told me that a surgeon was supposed to look at that. After about 3 hours the surgeon came and explained that I have pilonidal sinus. He told me that it was so infected that local anesthesia wouldn’t do anything. So he started the procedure and made a hole 3 cm deep and started to drain it.
It was the most painful thing I have experienced in my life. It was so painful that I couldn’t even breathe. The scar healed after 1 month and now I’m waiting to my appointment so they can do surgery on me and hopefully it will be gone for.
