Bumblebee’s story

February 12, 2016

I had sugery in 2011 and the incision reopened a year ago. My doctor referred me to a wound center at a local hospital. After 5 treatments I stopped going. I promptly received a bill from the hospital for use of the facility for $750 and a separate bill from the doctor for $600.

The treatment was billed to my insurance company as outpatent surgery. My insurance only paid for 1 treatment. Had I been told about this during treatments I would have stopped it. Guess what the would continues to reopen and just this week it started again. I am keeping it clean and dry, applying antibiotic ointment and applying clean 4 x 4’s to the area. I wish I knew about this site before allowed myself to be taken. No one ever gave advice like I have read on this site.

Thank you so much, I thought I was alone with this problem. It has been recurring since the late 70’s. I had 5 different surgeries that left a lot of scar tissue, that the last surgeon had to remove in order to promote healing, that has not happened.
