Hi all! The past few days I’ve been reading tons and tons of stories on here while I’ve been in awful pain. So here’s mine…
About a week ago I noticed my tailbone hurt. I figured I probably bruised it or something playing around with my fiance. After a couple days it started getting a lump so then I thought a spider had a snack while I was sleeping or something. The pain got prettt terrible and I was google searching stuff. I went to the quicjk care doctor immediately because the pictures scared me. He took a look, gave me two different antibiotics for a ten day course and said it would end up draining on it’s own. Said he wouldn’t feel right cutting it open to drain because he said there was a chance that it could just make things worse. He offered narcotics and I declined thinking, oh how bad could it be? (I regret that so, so much) anyways I’m on day three of the antibiotics and the pain was so terrible I almost went back in and then it started oozing the brownish ick. It started out draining slow, and now it’s like a tsunami, any suggestions on if it’ll heal by itself?
The doctor only said to come back if it didn’t burst or if it formed a head, which it didn’t, just had a breaking point I suppose. The pain level has greatly reduced for which I’m thankful
