Matt’s story

September 23, 2013

I pulled this procedure name from the case study that Dr. James Matino did some time ago. He is based in Hartford, CT at St. Francis Hospital. It’s called Pore Excision, Curettage, and Injection of Cymetra [Human dermal tissue allograft] for Pilonidal Disease. He invented this procedure with a couple other Dr.s, I’m sure there are others accross the country that do it this way too. Unfortunaly the only info I’m finding online about the procedure is from when he was bringing it to clinical trial, so there are no results posted on this website, but here you go: http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/record/NCT00493493 Short results page: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20806617 Currently very minor discomfort while driving, but no big deal. Wound is starting to close nicely. I can’t wait to never buy gauze or tape again. Good Luck to all!
