Great news!!! You can be healed from this debilitating condition. My teenage son suffered from this cyst and did not tell us his parents for several years. Finally the pain and a bleeding incident scared him enough to confide in me. Then the real problems started. As a parent we believed surgeons knew what they were doing. Don’t trust any doctor until you carefully check out their results (as best you can). The first doctor did two surgeries. I should have knocked the living crap of this guy. Total arrogant jerk. He left my son worse off. His method was to remove a section of tissue from the skin surface all the way to the tailbone. The second doctor while kinder and more hopeful also did not use the correct technique to help heal my son. Between surgeries we did wound vacs, hyperbaric chambers, experimental T-cell therapy, all to no avail. Most doctors don’t really know what they are doing. In total he suffered through three surgeries with quacks and lost two plus years of any kind of normal life. Finally I learned about the cleft flap procedure. I consider it light years ahead of the barbaric procedures other uneducated doctors have or are currently doing. As a family we suffered and prayed for our son. He is still healing from the overall ordeal of four surgeries but now he can sit comfortably (moderate length of time), swim, walk, and is not totally consumed or held captive by the awful cyst. His outlook is positive and his future is wide open.
