Tracey’s story

May 5, 2011

Ok so I’m Tracey I’m 22 now but when I was 14 I fell and broke my tailbone. I broke both my wrists as well so my tailbone hurting wasnt the top of my list of priorities. That was the start of the troubles.

From 2001 onward I had small absyss’ come up on my tail bone. Up untill 2008 they were able to be controlled with antibiotics. In 2008 the anti biotics stopped working and I had surgery where they drained the pilonidal sinus.

In 2009 I had another surgery where they drained it again. In 2010 I had 2 more surgeries where they same thing was done. After these surgeries the sinus still comes up but the scar tissue is so thin it breaks by itself. This year about 6 weeks ago I had another surgery to drain it.

I never get a break from the pain. It is always inflammed or recovering from surgery. I don’t know what to do it is taking over my life it affects me as a mother, a student and has cost me my job. thanks for letting me share my story i have never met anyone other than myself that suffers from this.
