One day in August ’10 I was experiencing this numbing pain in my back side and it was getting worse by the hour. Ive always had a ‘lump’ there since i can remember and sometimes it would hurt to do sit ups. I went to the doctor and she only gave me painkillers and cocodamol! I already knew it was infected though so the antibiotics did nothing. i went back 3 days after after not being able to sleep for more than 2 hours. and was high on painkillers 24/7,which werent even working.
this different doctor took one look at it and said “that is big.can someone take u to hospital?” he gave me a letter to refer me. i went to theatre 10 that night(had to wait 6 hours cos i had drank water..) was home the next day the daily packing with gauze was far more painful than the abscess itself somehow. the pain was disgusting. worst pain ive eveer experienced so far.
