It started in May of 2013. I was in the most unbearable pain of my life! (These hurt more than a kidney stone). I had my mom look at it & check it out and it had turned into a huge hole. (When I say huge, I mean the size of a golf ball) I went to the ER and they told me it was a pilonidal cyst that had become infected with MRSA. I had surgery the next morning to remove the MRSA and the cyst. My “wound” was 3 1/2 in. deep and about 3 in wide. It took 2 months to completely heal. I was having home health come 2 times a week and going to a wound healing center 2 times a week. I had to do the packing of the wound. Then in July, literally as soon as that one had healed it happened again. It basically goes the same story except after surgery they attached a “vacuum” that was suppose to suck all the puss and blood out and make it heal faster. That lasted 1 day, and the vacuum was gone. That one took about 3 months to completely heal. And now, just last week I started feeling uncomfortable again and now the pain is unbearable. I don’t know why they keep reoccurring, I’m a 20 year old active in sports, very clean & definitely not lazy! Lol so if you’ve never had one, pray that you never do! They hurt and they’re a pain! (Literally)
