Anjunivas’s story

June 24, 2013

I recall I had this condition all my adolescent life but never knew it was this exactly until I settled down with a decent job 3 yrs after my graduation !

I recall how I had regular leakages of pus n sometimes my under garment had wet stains. Eventually I observed spots of blood except it was too watery. With the more stable job came the access to Internet and some personal time. Surprisingly though it wasn’t until I got married did I bother to look up the exact symptoms. My part er being very supportive revealed it abruptly to a relative who happened to be a doctor, who with no hesitation mentioned pc!!!! I had never heard of it.

There used to be certain days when my tailbone hurt, no seepage a swelling. I couldn’t sit. One morning it would all vanish ! (Invariably it burst and leaked out) he prescribed a specific steroidal tab which I took for 4 days n this time it healed. My frequency of running into PC has been once a year.

While typing this its that time of the year for me to visit this site again :)!!! I am in pain:( and typing in the middle of the night. I M wondering if its come back due to my increased physical activity off late, long daily commutes in the car or lack of hygene in the area. Will try to endure a couple of days and ask a dermatologist for medication/piercing. I gota feeling if u go to a surgeon u most definitely will be suggested surgery(thanks to this site and contributors on it).

Anyway feeling better as I am sharing this story already ! Thanks for reading.
