Beth’s story

April 19, 2011

After reading some of the stories on this site, it is very apparent that surgery results are highly variable. I just had closed incision surgery on the 1st of April. I have 12 stitches and 6 were removed yesterday. The pain has been pretty bad. I cant sit down so I cant drive. I am on pain medication at all times just so I can move around comfortably. I walk as if I am 8 months pregnant. I wondered if the healing process was as difficult for others because I feel this is ridiculous. I am able to work but have to get rides and have set up my computer and files on the floor so I can work while laying on my stomach.

The only advice I have is to make sure you give yourself plenty of time to recover. I only took a week off work and am regretting that everyday. Good Luck Everyone!
