Chae-Lyn S’s story

November 17, 2010

My name is Chae-Lyn, and I am a sixteen year old female, After being sick from school a week, I noticed each day it was becoming increasingly harder to sit, I went to the doctor, thinking there was something wrong with my tailbone.

The first doctor told me there was absolutely nothing he could do until it got bigger, so a few days pass and it gets pissed. Like right off, so I go to see a different doctor, who tells me, nothing I can do right now, and refers me to a general surgeon. ( he also gave me two anitbiotics and some Tylenol 3’s. So about four days later is my appointment with the general surgeon, by this time though, it has shrunk almost completely and barely hurts anymore.

So the surgeon takes a look and gives me even more antibiotic and sends me home. The next few days go by slowly but it completely disapears. I think maybe it’s gone and I won’t have to deal with it anymore. Ha ha ha well that’s not in my cards, it’s been a month and a half and now it’s back, bigger and even more painful. I go to see the second doctor again and he gives me the same perscriptions and tells me to call the same surgeon, I live in a pretty small city ( 11,000 ppl ) so I can’t even see a different doctor.

So after reading all these posts and such, I’m terrified that this guy is gonna ruin my life and I know I need surgery because I can’t sit down at all, laying on my back, hah, walking is very difficult and all I’ve been doing for the past three days is putting heat on it, in bed and waiting, it’s really depressing too because I’m in school, grade eleven, what am I supposed to tell my teachers and friends? 🙁 on the fence..
