My true story is as follows. As a male bodybuilder I noticed a small pimple size dot on my upper left gluteus but on the coccygeal area almost 15 years ago. Initially thought that it could be skin tissue pressed as in my both palms of my hands due to the abdominal exercises biking lifting and other gym activities/sports.
Last september it was more noticeable but not hurting me at all as I could lie on my back do heavy lifting and so on. My wife as a phisiatrician adviced me to check-up. And so I did. Went to the doctor and did the exams. It was a pilonidal cyst and had to be removed.
May I remind you I had no pain at all in the area. I met the surgeon ( very experience in this issue) and he told me that I was lucky and the sooner the excison the better. So I filled up with courage and went for surgery. Now I have an open wound healing well for about a month filling the removed area with flesh from bottom to top. I have to check-up the wound on alternate days. I’m doing well eating well but no activity so the wound heals faster with my walkarounds.
Took antiinflamatory pills for almost a week and on more painful days. The next step is to meet my personal trainer to plan my return to the gym.
To all of you have a happy new year and thanks (apologies for my english) bye.
