jacquelyn pidgeon’s story

January 5, 2011

My Son (age 17 at the time) had 2 Cleft Lift operations. One in the summer of ’09 (never healed properly) and the other in fall/winter’09. These surgeries have left quite a mental scar on him.

He is now 18, going to college and has 2 more pilonital cysts. Below the previous surgery (getting very close to his anus). He is not in pain other than occasional itchiness. They are bleeding. I am beside myself with worry-because these cysts seem to be headed in a downward direction. Need to find a very good proctologist to assess my son’s situation.

Naturally he does not want surgery. 17 – 18 is a difficult age to be dealing with all this.
