Hello and how do you do. I became aware of a small problem back last fall and have since put off doing anything about it until now due to finances. I was wanting to save what I could to take care of myself comfortably during my downtime. Thankfully when my short term disability kicks in I will have nothing to concern myself about in that area.
My surgery took place back on July 24th they said they found and excised everything so they stitched the incision completely. After my 2 weeks of healing they began to remove the stitches to discover I had not healed at all. So they left some of them in to allow more healing time. Well I go in again a week later with little to no progress again. They remove them all this time to see what will happen. I have a wound 2 inches long and so deep I can’t see the bottom looking at it via a mirror. It still is healing really slow and hurting a good bit.
I haven’t any negative signs of any sort except slow healing. It is a little frustrating as I am a very active person who needs lots of things to do to keep my mind busy as well as my body. I am a firefighter by trade so hopefully that will also give you some idea of what it’s like when I’m not down. Hoping to have this healed soon but not getting my hopes too high.
