janice’s story

October 10, 2012

My story is my son’s. He is now 18 and in college first noticed small amount of blood on his back side went to dr asap. Was told he would need quick surgery to remove the cyst.

Its now been 2 years and three surgeries later and like i mentioned he is in first year of college now recently joined a fraternity and seems to be extremely happy to be getting his life back. Senior year of high school was spent at home with wound vac, iv port with twice daily antibiotics and daily hyperbaric chambers so as you can see college is a God send.

His last surgery part of his tail bone had to be removed due to bone infections. He recently called me to tell me his ‘healed’ wound is bleeding and on a scale of one to ten its a six in pain. I joined this site in hopes to get some help or insite reading stories it pains me to know others have had simiular or same issues. I know there are worse things that can happen but wish there was an end to all this.
