My name is jess and I’m 23 years old.I had my first surgery when I was only 15 years old.I had to b rushed to the e.r when I had extreme discomfort and it hurt to even breath.was seen uad xrays and was “checked out” in an area that they would b able to tell a pilonidal cyst was forming.long story short they missed it completely and I had to have emergancy surgery 3 days later.I had it excised and it was the worst thing I’ve ever had to go through as a teenage girl.I was a straight A student and did home school and tutoring after the surgery and was guna actually graduate a year early. After a year of packing, being embarresed of leaking through my pants, not being able to walk right they decided to do surgery again but towards my bottom to avoid it ever coming back.so there I go again w my top hole still not healed.did that all over again but this time things weren’t healing like It should have.I’m in tenth ready to go in 11th grade and still dealing with this.I tried going back to school to graduate early, but it was so incomfortable o couldn’t sit that long and as a teenager bringing a donut to sit on in highschool is pretty embarraasing.my school wouldn’t accomodate me for gym and I needed that gym credit to graduate.due to all of these problems adding up I had to drop out.when I was about 17 it started to chill out.from then on it was on and off every few months and would last for a few months.I’ve been dealing w this pattern for 8 years now.when I went back to the doctor for my very last check up my doctor told me the only way of it healing was cutting from bottom hole to top hole!!! Yea ok not having open butt crack as wound.so they said wait til I’m in my 30s when my hormones weren’t so crazy n have it heal on its own….stupid doctor! I jus had a baby 8 months ago and I’m sick of the draining months at a time, being in pain n not being able to do regular things w my daughter. I can’t even sit up rite.Im going for a consult in a few days to find out my fate n all I want is to b fixed n live a normal life for once. I’m guna have to do what I need to do for the sake of my daughter and I wana b a normal mom.
