Hi everyone been having trouble with registering its taking ages. my story is ive had my pilo for around ten years im now 26 and in the first years only had a couple flare ups but the last year been having them every month and would last aweek, docters didnt know what it was and this was frustrating because I felt they werent listening.
This year I moved to a small town where by Feb I had enough and tried the local docter I explained this bizarre thing I had that wouldnt go he had a look and said you have a pilonidal sinus and you need surgery. I actually cried because finally I had a name to it, I was put on the public waiting list I was explained I most likely will have excision flap repair so in the mean time I started reseaching and to my relief found this website!
I received my appointment letter a couple weeks ago to see surgeon on the 20th of June and boy am I counting down the days,coming on here reading peoples stories has given me strength in knowing im not alone! everday im on here reading everyones experiences the good the bad and the ugly its all been comforting will keep updates on my progress.
