Rachael’s story

July 31, 2017

For about 2 years I’d been suffering with regular pain in my coccyx area. Some weeks it would be painful to sit and then it would go away. I had visited doctors but they couldn’t identify a problem and kept suggesting I had done something to damage the area (which I hadn’t). A few months ago I developed an extremely painful abscess in the area and had to go to hospital to get it drained. It has been left as an open wound since but has become infected three times already. I’m waiting to see a specialist to see what will happen next. It’s hard because not many people have heard of this and I’m struggling to see a positive outcome!
