Here I am again. Son #2 with pilonidal. I was hoping this would not happen again in my family. Thank god at least he knew to tell me.
My eldest had surgery @ 15years and has been healed since. We have kept the area hair free and he has been fine. So now my next near 15 year old has the tell “tail” (forgive the pun) sign of the raised red area at the top of his cleft. I never saw my other son’s prior to the tunneling and drainage. He didn’t tell me.
Good news is…we have been through this before and know what to do…. Are there any others on here with experiences of this happening to multiple family members?
