I can’t believe this is happening AGAIN. I had surgery for a pilonidal cyst 35 years ago when I was 20 years old. It came back (mildly and briefly) one time, a month after the surgery. I wasn’t bothered by it again until now. I’ve been feeling very fatigued over the past few months and am now wondering if this was building up and causing my fatigue.
I just noticed the actual “cyst” 2 days ago and it’s quickly becoming sore and irritating. The thought of going through this surgery and recovery again is depressing. I was fortunate enough the first time that it was “contained” enough that the surgeon didn’t have to leave an open wound. Maybe the surgical options have advanced over these past 35 years enough that it will be an easier recovery and total experience. I guess my first move should be to get an appointment to see my doctor.
