I am a 23 year old male from Singapore. I first had pilonidal cyst in 2007. I didnt know what it was at first and decided to put ice on it. Obviously it didnt work.
So i went to a GP and had the operation at a hospital the following day. After 1-2 months of dressing, it was healed. I suffered a recurrence in 2011. However i didnt go to the doctor hoping that it would cure by itself somehow.
Obviously it didnt. So i had the surgery done with a colon specialist last monday. I had to stay one night at the hospital due to insurance claim. I have to go for daily dressing. It didnt hurt the first 2 days. But then it started to sting during dressing. Well, hope this would be the last time i will ever have to go through this again.
