hello, i got my first pilonidal abscess 7 weeks ago, i suffered with the abscess for a week before i finally plucked up the curage to go to the DRs. I had to spend a night in hospital and have it drained that night, the next day they had to pack it, put gores in it, and that was the worst pain ever. i had a total panik attack and couldnt breath, having the gores put in was so so painful.
Anyway i am now left with the pink bit of skin where the abscess was, but i have now noticed a small white like little bump on the pink patch, could this be another abscess starting? if anyone could tell me how their second one looked like when it started again? it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about going through such pain again
