So I’ll try my best english. I was diagnosed with a Pilonidal Cyst about an year ago…and unfortunatelly I typed it down on google…I was extremly shocked by all the stories I read online.
Seriously, I really freaked out…like the open excision and the resting time…and all the glamour of a pilonidal cyst extraction. Well anyways I finally decided to have it taken care off about 8 months ago. I promissed myself that if everything went well I was going to be one of the few to share my experience. EVERYTHING WENT PERFECT. Had a simple closed excision, 2 weeks of minor effort and nurse care, my healing went perfectly, actually 3 weeks post op my doctor said that it is officialy over. (It is important to say that my surgeon is the best doctor in France, and he charges accordingly but anyways)
He did an awesome job. I am pilonidal free, I don’t think about it anymore..obviously I am a very hygenic person, so it reduces the chances of this damn cyst coming back. I had no pain at all. Go ahead, stop reading terror stories and get your pilonidal cyst taken care of! Don’t waste anytime though, the longer you wait the more complicated it is.
